26 July, 2008 | Marital Mayhem 2008 a major success The 2008 Marital Mayhem program, the annual cheatin' song special presented by Ken Date on Sydney's Coolest Country, has been described as an outstanding success. After the show, Ken declared the 2008 edition of Marital Mayhem to be one of the best yet, with new songs as well as old favourites delighting the listeners as the seamy side of cheatin' country was explored in depth.
"Marital Mayhem has traditionally been one of the biggest shows of the year for some time," said Ken, "and the 2008 show was one of the biggest yet".
"Cheatin' represents one of the four pillars of country music," Ken went on to say, "and it is an area of the genre that the listeners love to hear."
Marital Mayhem presents a chance for unequivocal hard country music to be front and centre of the program, with tracks by George Jones, Randy Travis, Johnny Paycheck, the great Porter Wagoner the even greater Mel Street combining to produce a sensational blend of true country music.
Ken also assured listeners that Marital Mayhem will be back in 2009.
"This is a show that the listeners love more than any other - and the 2009 edition will be an even bigger event that 2008."
